Information

The Future of Flight Safety and Performance Is Now Available

12:30 - 12:50

Speakers: StandardAero & Heli Austria

Description: This new state-of-the-art autopilot for H125 helicopters delivers one of the most significant performance and safety upgrades in recent years. For the first time, light helicopter pilots gain access to technology once reserved for IFR platforms—enhancing safety, reducing workload, and leveling the field with capabilities previously limited to larger, more complex aircraft.

The Benefit of All-in-One Ops & Safety Management Systems

12:50 - 13:10

Speakers: AirSuite

Description: Cirro streamlines aviation operations with an all-in-one platform including flight operations, a safety management system, and compliance tracking. It connects your team, fleet, and data in real time for smarter, safer decision-making. By replacing multiple tools, Cirro simplifies workflows and reduces administrative overhead. *The results: greater efficiency, transparency, security, and confidence across your entire operation.

Taking Inspections Out of the Death Curve

13:10 - 13:30

Speakers: OfilSystems & CDSsquared

Description: Traditional utility inspections operate below 300 ft., and below 30 kt., in single-engine helicopters. This is not where you want your staff to spend most of their time. New technology and new approaches can increase safety while still leveraging the efficiencies of real-time helicopter inspections.

SitAwS (Situational Awareness System) with the Focus on Takeoff and Landing

13:30 - 13:50

Speakers: LFT GmbH & Swiss Helicopter Engineering

Description:

  • Wires and poles during takeoff and landing
  • Detection of (small) obstacles in the landing zone
  • Augmented view of obstacle detection in real environment

Armasuisse / RUAG - Cougar Upgrade TH18

14:30-14:50

Speakers: RUAG & Partner

Description: Between 2019 and 2024, RUAG and the Swiss Air Force partnered to modernise nine AS332 Super Puma airframes, harmonising their avionics, self-protection, and structures with the newer Airbus H215 standard. The project added 5,000 flying hours per airframe while reducing parts obsolescence and crew training variants by double digits. We will highlight the engineering solutions, including the glass cockpit, structural life extension, and ISSYS EW suite. We will also compare the economics of this upgrade versus buying new aircraft and share transferable lessons for operators of similarly sized fleets.

Modern Software-Based Pilot Training Systems

14:50 - 15:10

Speaker: Reiser & Lufthansa Training

Description:

  • Introduction to Lufthansa Aviation Training’s First Helicopter Simulator
  • Experience with Lufthansa Aviation Training’s First Helicopter Simulator
  • Operational Experience with REISER’s Modular Roll-On/Roll-Off System
  • Outlook: How a Combination of FFS and FTD Can Maximise the Use of Cockpit Modules

Green Aircraft ISR Upgrades: Getting It Right from the Start

15:10-15:30

Speakers: Airborne Technologies & SHOT

Description: There are many reasons why a newly purchased ‘green’ helicopter may be delivered without any ISR sensors, or even without provisions for them. These range from budget constraints and specific sensor requirements to shared usage and other end-user demands.

This approach has both advantages and disadvantages, which are examined here, along with recommendations from ABT for achieving a successful missionised helicopter outcome.

A real-life example is presented by the purchaser, highlighting problems encountered and solutions provided by SHOT d.o.o. This reflects a common situation faced by many special mission helicopter customers, which is analysed with potential cost-saving solutions proposed.

Mastering Custom Content in Foreflight Mobile

15:30 - 15:50

Speaker: ForeFlight & Partner

Description: Learn how to create, manage and distribute custom content within ForeFlight Mobile. This session covers supported content types, new authoring tools, best practices and data setup. Gain practical skills for maintaining accuracy and delivering content efficiently to flight crews.

Entry Into Service of the AW189 in Norway

16:00-16:30

Speaker: Leonardo & Lufttransport

Course Overview
EUROPEAN ROTORS is not only a trade show, but also an event where industry participants can connect with their potential customers and inform users about the latest developments in the market. We invite exhibitors to go beyond making just a marketing presentation and demonstrate their services / products / solutions together with an operator, who will also explain how to use them in practice.
